The Trauma and EM component of the course is included in our future surgeon ticket. Firstly, you'll be given a patient and an emergency situation by our team. Then you'll spring into action learning about paramedic hand overs, primary and secondary survey and the A to E assessment. With your patient hemodynamically unstable (loosing blood) the race will be on save their life. We will examine the types of bone fracture and suturing techniques.
Having been involved in a serious accident you'll need to prepare the limb for amputation. You'll be talked through the structure of the limbs including the bones and muscles before being guided through the process of amputation and suturing using mattress stitching.
