WE FULLY FUND 5 PLACES AT EVERY EVENT thanks to our wider training events. You can apply to attend Operating Theatre Live on one of 5 fully funded places. To apply you need to complete the short application form below and ask your school or college tutor, MEDSOC, science or chemistry teacher to complete a reference for you. to apply you must meet the criteria set out below:

1. Be a high school achiever, serious about considering applying for a career in medicine

2. Have a school attendance of 97.5% or above in the last academic year

3. Attend a state funded school in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland

4. Have been in receipt of Free School Meals for one school year in the last 3 years

5. Neither parents have been to university 

6. You are aged 14-19 at the time of the event

To apply, complete the form below and attach a single side of A4 paper with no more than 500 words outline why you want to study medicine as a career, in this outline your should consider the below:

•  Why you want to study medicine as a career

• The qualities you believe are required of a future clinician

• A real life example of where you have helped somebody in need

Once you have a final version of your statement, attach it to the form below and send it off. You should then ask your teacher to complete the teacher part of the form below. Once we have received both your application and your teacher reference then we will assess your application and let you know the outcome.
